Here are the NFL picks against the point spread for Week 3.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+6.5) at Atlanta Falcons

I like home teams on a short week and Atlanta is a good one at home. Both teams are coming off disappointing losses but I don't know if the Buccaneers can match the firepower of the Falcons.

Pick: Falcons to cover the spread

San Diego Chargers (+2.5) at Buffalo Bills

The Bills are the surprise team of the NFL with two big early season wins. Their defense is good, their running backs are good their oline is talented, but just how good is EJ Manuel? I think Buffalo has a good shot with the one o'clock start and because I live in Bills country I root for them but I think the Bolts pull this one out.

Pick: Chargers

Dallas Cowboys (-1) at St. Louis Rams

I don't think the Rams offense will score enough points even against the Cowboys suspect defense.

Pick: Cowboys

Washington Redskins (+6.5) at Philadelphia Eagles

Despite the tough starts to games the Eagles are showing resilency with impressive comeback wins (makes me sick). I often take the points in divisional games where the spread is larger.

Pick: Redskins

Houston Texans (-2.5) at New York Giants

Another team with a good defensive line that could give the Giants problems, but I think the Giants looked much better in Week 2 and I think the Giants will actually give the Texans some problems. Their offense runs through Arian Foster and the Giants can stop the run. If you mame Fitzpatrick one dimensional he runs into problems. Texans might be the better team but I think the Giants win this one outright.

Pick: Giants

Minnesota Vikings (+10) at New Orleans Saints

Minnesota is a different team without their star running back. The Saints are  a terrific teamat home  and should win this game easily. though I do worry about a few big plaus from Cordelle Patterson.

Pick: Saints

Tennessee Titans (+7) at Cincinnati Bengals

The Bengals have been one of the most impressive teams in the league so far this year, but I still think the Titans will be pretty good and though they lose this game they cover the spread.

Pick: Titans

Baltimore Ravens (-1.5) at Cleveland Browns

I still don't have a great feel free either of these teams but I thought the Ravens would be favored by more.

Pick: Ravens

Green Bay Packers (+2.5) at Detroit Lions

The Packers are a flawed football team that is well coached in a great quarterback. The Lions more talented and match up well where the Packers are weak.

Pick: Lions

Indianapolis Colts (-7) at Jacksonville Jaguars

Giants fan can at least say "hey we're not the Jaguars." Blake Bortles may have a promsing future but I'm making picks in the here and now.

Pick: Colts

Oakland Raiders (+14.5) at New England Patriots

14 and a half points is a lot of points to give up for a professional football game where any bad bounce can mean the difference in winning and losing. I also don't believe this Patriots team is dominant.

Pick: Raiders

San Francisco 49ers (-3) at Arizona Cardinals

The Cardinals are one of the more talented teams in football and assuming Carson Palmer plays I think Arizona has a great shot at winning the game.

Pick: Cardinals with the upset

Denver Broncos (+5) at Seattle Seahawks

Peyton Manning has probably watched thr Super Bowl 40 times in preparation for this game, the biggest difference between this match up between last year and this year is the emphasis on keeping hands off  in the secondary. I think because of that and the emotion Denver will gave for this game they will at least cover the spread if not win.

Pick: Denver

Kansas City Chiefs (+4) at Miami Dolphins

The Bills might have exposed something in the Dolphins pass protection that will allow other teams to take advantage of. the Chiefs have the pass rushers that will cause the Dolphins problems I like the Chiefs in this one.

Pick: Chiefs

Pittsburgh Steelers (+3.5)  at Carolina Panthers

The Steelers are in a transition period. The Panthers win this one comfortably.

Pick: Panthers

Chicago Bears (+3) at New York Jets

The Jets don't have the offensive weapons to match the Bears if they need to.

Pick: Bears with the upset
