[UPDATE: Palmer has been ruled out and is inactive for Arizona. Drew Stanton will start]

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the New York Giants due to an injury to his right (throwing) shoulder. Palmer has been limited in practice all week. The Cardinals backup quarterback is Drew Stanton, a seven-year veteran who has started four games.

Stanton has not played in an NFL game since the 2010 season. Stanton reported "took most of the snaps this week" for Arizona.

Arizona will be without linebacker Alex Okafor (thigh) and defensive tackle Frostee Rucker (calf). The team lost linebacker John Abraham, the Cardinals best pass rusher, earlier this week. Abraham left the team after suffering the latest in a series of concussions, and may be forced to retire.

The Cardinals No. 1 running back, Andre Ellington (foot), and punter Dave Zastudil (groin) are questionable.

Could the Giants be catching the Cardinals at a time when they are not at their best? We will find out on Sunday.
