After watching Steve Weatherford try to punt Friday despite four torn ligaments in his left ankle the New York Giants have officially listed Weatherford as questionable for Sunday's game against the Arizona Cardinals. After Friday's practice the Giants also worked out several punters in the event Weatherford is unable to play.

Weatherford said he punted 25 balls on Friday.

"I feel that I punted well enough to punt Sunday. I felt consistent. I felt stable. I felt strong," Weatherford said after practice. "We are going to see how it feels tomorrow because you never know, knock on wood, you might wake up and [my ankle] could be swollen. I don't see that happening because it has been 90 minutes since I've kicked and I don't have any swelling. You would expect that some of that to come on now. I feel great."

Head coach Tom Coughlin was optimistic about Weatherford, saying "we expect to have him."

Here is the full injury report.

Out -- Odell Beckham Jr. (hamstring), James Brewer (back), Markus Kuhn (ankle), Devon Kennard (hamstring)

Questionable -- Weatherford (ankle)

Probable -- Jon Beason (foot)

Beason did not practice Thursday, but returned to practice on Friday. He is still dealing with the after-effects of the broken foot he sustained during OTAs. Kennard did not practice all week after injuring his hamstring early in Monday's season-opening game.

Beckham says he is "50-50" to make his NFL debut next week, although Paul Schwartz of the New York Post rightly cautions that "In reality, it is far less than 50-50 he makes his NFL debut next week and it might be closer to 10-percent."
