Good morning New York Giants fans! I'll be filling in for Fearless Leader today for your quick trip around the intergoogle.

First off, Giants fans will get their first look at the team following the Hall of Fame game. This will be the only open practice this week, thanks to a One Direction concert last night, and the Jets' first preseason game on the 7th.

Retired Giants David Diehl, Sean O'Hara, Kareem McKenzie, and Deon Grant will be signing autographs tonight.

And now a little house cleaning following last night's closed practice:

In an offensive backfield that has already sustained a tremendous loss this preseason, Peyton Hillis left practice early with a sprained ankle.

And finally, in case you missed it, the Giants signed former Bears defensive end Israel Idonije, as well as tight end Jerome Cunningham.

On the off chance you needed more reason to root for undrafted rookie wideout Corey Washington, he gives you plenty:

"I don’t got no friends on the field," Washington said. "I’m just hungry out there on the field. She’s diabetic, her and my granddaddy. A retirement check is not enough for them so, me being in the NFL, I can help them out a lot financially."

And finally, we all heard the talk from the Giants secondary in the spring. Then we all saw them make the field a No Fly Zone for the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. They have set their sights on being the top secondary in the NFL.
