Hakeem Nicks left the New York Giants as a free agent this past offseason after two less-than-productive season. So far, it sounds like the wide receiver hasn't really impressed his new employer.
Hamilton on Nicks: "Yeah, I don’t know if I can say that I’ve seen enough. I think he is still working to get himself in game shape...

More Hamilton/Nicks: "His talent is well documented and his ability to be a productive receiver in the league is without a doubt something..

And More Hamilton/Nicks: "...that we are not questioning, he's a special talent."

Hamilton, incidentally, is Colts offensive coordinator Pep Hamilton.
Here is the question. After two down seasons, after signing a one-year, $3.975 million 'prove it' contract in Indianapolis, after having your effort questioned in 2013, how can Nicks not show up in great shape for this training camp? Shoot, doesn't everybody say they show up in the best shape of their lives.
Nicks is only 26, but this is the latest report that makes you think Nicks may never again be the start he was for the Giants in 2010 and 2011.
