OK, New York Giants fans, how bummed are you about the rather stunning trade Tuesday that saw the New England Patriots send six-time Pro Bowl offensive guard Logan Mankins to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for tight end Tim Wright, a player who caught 54 passes as a rookie in 2013?
Last time I checked, read the comments or peeked at my Twitter feed offensive line and tight end were the two positions in need of the biggest upgrade for the Giants as they construct their 53-man roster.
The Buccaneers, desperately seeking to upgrade the interior of their offensive line, have now done so. They traded away Wright and a fourth-round pick. For all of the reaction from Buccaneers fans, you can check out the complete StoryStream at Bucs Nation.
The Patriots get a pass-catching tight end (umm, the Giants could use one of those) to help take some of the pressure off the oft-injured Rob Gronkowski. New England fans appear shocked by the move. See their full reaction in the StoryStream at Pats Pulpit.
