The New York Giants, like other NFL teams, have to trim their rosters to 75 players by 4 p.m. ET Tuesday. Keep it here as we update you when moves become known.
Here is the official list of 15 roster moves made by the Giants today.
Two players were placed on injured reserve: safety Cooper Taylor, who injured the sesamoid bone in his left foot in Indianapolis on Aug. 16, and wide receiver Marcus Harris, who has a hip injury.
Two players were waived/injured: linebacker Justin Anderson (hamstring) and defensive end Emmanuel Dieke (knee).
Eleven players were waived: cornerbacks Charles James and Ross Weaver; safeties C.J. Barnett and Kyle Sebetic; linebacker Spencer Adkins; wide receiver Travis Harvey; tight ends Xavier Grimble and Jerome Cunningham; guard John Sullen; defensive tackle Everett Dawkins; and kicker Brandon McManus.

Ralph Vacchiano reports that the Giants have released wide receiver Travis Harvey and offensive guard John Sullen. That makes 11 known roster cuts thus far. The Giants have four more moves to make to get to the 75-man roster limit. Practice begins Tuesday at 11:45 a.m., so the rest of the roster moves should be known shortly.
A few more roster moves have come in, from a variety of sources. Defensive lineman Emmanuel Dieke tweeted that he has been released. Conor Orr reported that Justin Anderson, an undrafted free agent linebacker, has been waived/injured. Cornerback Ross Weaver and safety Kyle Sebetic have also been waived, per Ralph Vacchiano.
The Giants have reportedly released linebacker Spencer Adkins. Adkins had played fairly well in the preseason, but saw limited action Friday vs. the New York Jets. With six linebackers seemingly locked into roster spots, and youngsters Justin Anderson and Dan Fox as practice squad possibilities, there was no room for Adkins.
The New York Giants have waived tight ends Xavier Grimble and Jerome Cunningham, according to a report from Pat Traina. Traina says Grimble, who has missed the entire preseason with a hamstring injury, may have been waived/injured.
Charles James, a likable second-year cornerback, has apparently been released by the Giants. James made this announcement on his Twitter account:
Wanna thank the New York Giants for giving me the opportunity to start my career in the National… http://t.co/cMuRsDBn5k— Charles James II (@ShutDownCB1) August 26, 2014
Valentine's View: I had dropped James from the roster in my latest 53-man roster projection, but the fact that he was let go in this round of cuts surprised me. Perhaps some of the injuries at other positions are forcing the Giants to shuffle in order to get through Thursday's game with the New England Patriots.
The Giants have reportedly waived placekicker Brandon McManus.

McManus, 23, was impressive during the preseason. He showed a strong leg and made both of his field-goal attempts, each from outside 40 yards. Ten of McManus 11 kickoffs went for touchbacks.
The Giants, however, chose to stick with the 35-year-old Brown. Entering his 12th NFL season, Brown made 23-of-26 field goals last season. He signed a two-year contract during the offseason and has shown no signs of decline this preseason. He made his only field-goal attempt, a 45-yarder, and six of his nine kickoffs have gone for touchbacks.
Use this as an open thread throughout the day to discuss roster cuts as they come in. We will do our best to keep you updated as player moves are announced.
