Eight New York Giants will not dress Saturday night when the team faces the Indianapolis Colts in its third preseason game, per a variety of media reports. The list, as expected, is headed by first-round pick Odell Beckham Jr., who is still working his way back from a hamstring injury.
Here is the full list:
Beckham (hamstring), Trindon Holliday (hamstring), Jayron Hosley (foot), Peyton Hillis (foot), Jon Beason (PUP), Daniel Fells (knee), Xavier Grimble (hamstring), Mike Patterson (shoulder).
Head coach Tom Coughlin said earlier in the week that he expects Beckham to play next week vs. the New York Jets.
Holliday has yets to play in a preseason game and his chance of making the roster seems to dwindle with each passing day. Fells may also be losing an opportunity to make the team as one of the Giants' tight ends. Grimble and Patterson have also not yet appeared in preseason games. Beason, of course, is on PUP and not eligible to play.
Offensive tackle Will Beatty and cornerback Trumaine McBride will make their preseason debuts Saturday night.
