Must Reads
The Giants will look to make some progress with their first-team offense as they continue to install a new system under first-year offensive coordinator Ben McAdoo. The first group has struggled to find consistency in its limited preseason action.
"Monday night in Detroit [for the regular-season opener], we need to be 100 percent ready to go. We're not there yet. We're making small strides," McAdoo said this week. "We need to take that leap of faith. We need to play fast, we need to trust our instincts. It's a game of anticipation and belief in your teammates. If we can't do that, then we're not going to grow. We can't be afraid to go out there and make mistakes."
Injury Report
Offensive tackle Will Beatty and cornerback Trumaine McBride are scheduled to make their preseason debuts Saturday night. Beatty had offseason surgery to repair a broken leg, and McBride had hip surgery. Both have practiced throughout camp, but not yet played in a game.
Odell Beckham Jr. will not play. Head coach Tom Coughlin expects Beckham to make his preseason debut next week vs. the New York Jets.
