The New York Giants have completed Friday's practice at Quest Diagnostics Training Center. Practice moved inside midway through because of the potential for lightning. Here are some of the highlights.
Sometimes, there are more important things than football.

" I don’t know about pressure but there’s a lot more responsibility. I have to go out there and prove myself. Go out there and make those plays. ... I’m confident in my ability. It’s just up to me to go out there and get the job done. It’s as simple as that. I don’t want to add any more pressure to myself. Just go out there and play football."

"The bottom line is everything is proceeding and they are doing everything they have been asked to do. We will make individual decisions, if necessary, with any one of those individuals."

The Giants Friday placed offensive tackle Troy Kropog in injured reserve due to a foot injury suffered earlier this week. They signed former Penn State offensive tackle Adam Gress to take his place. Gress is a 6-foot-7, 300-pound lineman who played 32 games for the Nittany Lions. Kropog is a four-year NFL veteran.
The also waived/injured cornerback Travis Howard and signed cornerback Chandler Fenner. The 6-foot, 200-pound Fenner spent 2013 on injured reserve with the Seattle Seahawks due to a knee injury. He was waived earlier this week by Seattle.
Your Daily Nassib
The Nassib-Coaster appears to be going up. Word from those in attendance today is that the second-year quarterback had a good day, including -- GASP!!!! -- running the read-option a few times.
Not much new to report. Left tackle Will Beatty, who left Thursday's practice due to illness, did not practice. Beatty apparently had a migraine headache. We don't know. Coch Tom Coughlin said rookie cornerback Bennett Jackson reportedly has a "significant" ankle sprain.
