With just a couple weeks left before the Giants report to training camp, Big Blue View continues its look at the 90-man roster the team will take to East Rutherford on July 21.Today, let's get to know center Dallas Reynolds.
2013 Season In Review
After spending two seasons with the rival Philadelphia Eagles, Dallas Reynolds signed with the Giants midway through last season when injuries ravaged the team's offensive line. Reynolds was waived on Oct. 1, resigned four days later and finished the season appearing in three games. He played both center and guard for the Giants. Reynolds had a -4.6 Pro Footballfocus grade in 2013, including -6.7 in pass-blocking and +2.0 as a run-blocker.
2014 Season Outlook
It'll be interesting where -- or if -- Reynolds finds himself on the Giants roster this season, and his situation may be very well impacted by the health of others. Reynolds has the ability to play both center and guard, which could make him very valuable. If center J.D. Walton or guard Chris Snee's health concerns flare up, having a player that could fill in to both spots would be big. Reynolds started 15 games at center for Philadelphia in 2012. He had a -7.1 Pro Football focus score, with pass-blocking (-8.9) again being his weak spot.
