Giants Training Camp 2014: Thursday practice report

Let's look at what happened during Thursday's practice at Giants training camp.

Reports coming from the various media analysts in attendance at New York Giants practice on Thursday seem to indicate that the offense had one of its best day of training camp. The Giants were in full pads during today's session.

When the Giants play the Buffalo Bills on Sunday you will get your first glimpse of the new offense. At least as much of it as the Giants have currently installed.

David Wilson Sighting

Wilson goes for tests on his neck Monday. He was on the practice field Thursday -- watching, not practicing.

Head coach Tom Coughlin was, of course, asked today for his thoughts on Wilson.

"I'm just praying that the kid's OK," Coughlin said. "We're obviously concerned. We're gonna have to wait and see what the doctors say."

Camp Quotebook

"As soon as I saw him kind of like walk off the field, I started to hurt. We play this game, we're a family and we all want to see everybody be successful. We all want to win together and it takes more than one person and he's a big part of this team, so we want him back but it also hurts seeing someone who was grinding so hard behind the scenes, when the media's not around, when people are not around, when fans are not around, somebody that's working as hard as him to get back on the field and he has a little, minor setback, it's frustrating as a brother, as a friend and as a teammate. We know he'll do everything he can to get back and we'll be here to support him."

Injury Notes

Wide receiver Reuben Randle was back to practice Thursday. He missed Tuesday with a sore hamstring. Kick returner/wide receiver Trindon Holliday also reportedly did not practice again. He also missed Tuesday's workout. Linebacker Spencer Paysinger also did not practice.

Several players left the workout early with injuries sustained during practice.

Will Beatty also left practice early. Head coach Tom Coughlin told reporters he did not know why.

Your Daily Nassib

Apparently, Tom Coughlin likes what he is seeing from the second-year quarterback.

The Lighter Side

Kickers have to spent their time doing something.
