The New York Giants hold their seventh practice of 2014 training camp Tuesday at Quest Diagnostics Training Center. Practice begins at 1:20 p.m. ET and is open to the public. Let's look at some of the things to watch today.
Odell Beckham Jr. Sightings (Again)
There weren't any on Monday, of course, as the rookie wide receiver received treatment indoors and went for tests on his troublesome hamstring. Those tests revealed no long-term issues, so we will watch today to see what, if anything, Beckham does during practice. [RELATED: Beckham reassures Coughlin]
Must Reads
Your Daily Nassib
'Invictus' likes that little sub-head, and we know you guys love your constant updates on the progress, or lack of progress, being shown by second-year quarterback Ryan Nassib. So, we will do our best to bring you the ups and downs of the Nasib roller-coaster ride.
Super Mario?
Manningham is working his way back slowly after finishing the last two seasons on injured reserve due to serious knee surgery he had in 2012 for a torn ACL and PCL. On Monday Manningham made a couple of catches on short passes.
"I have to knock a couple cobwebs off, but I am getting there," Manningham said on Monday. "Every day I feel better. I am going out here and just trying to get back where I was.
"I know my knee is fixed, but it is just the confidence. It's me sticking my foot in the ground and going. Every day it gets better and better."
Manningham, honestly, hasn't looked great the first few days of camp. He does look a bit sluggish getting off the line and coming out of his breaks. If he can regain the confidence in his surgically-repaired knee and find the form he is looking for the former Super Bowl hero can be an important player for the Giants.
We will watch for signs of progress.
Offensive Efficiency
This, of course, is another area of daily interest. The installation of the new offense constructed by offensive coordinator Ben McAdoo is continuing, and the Giants are still in the early stages of smoothing out the many rough spots in this vastly different attack. Yet, over the past couple of days there have been some signs of progress. Those have been particularly evident in the short passing game. Let's see if that continues today.
