Let's continue our series of player-by-player profiles of the 90-man roster the New York Giants will bring to training camp in just about a week by looking at Jordan Stanton, an undrafted free agent defensive end from James Madison.
2013 Season In Review
Stanton earned First-Team All-Colonia Athletic Association honors for the first time in his career after recording 56 tackle, 11.5 for loss, and eight sacks.
2014 Season Outlook
The 6-foot-4, 280-pound Stanton played defensive tackle at James Madison, but isn't big enough to stay inside at the NFL level. Here is a brief scouting report:
Stanton is a fiery defensive lineman with size limitations for the next level. His movement skills, quickness, and ability to change direction makes him a potential 3-technique lineman.
The Giants are always looking for pass-rushing talent. Stanton's odds of sticking with the Giants would not appear to be great entering training camp. He has training camp and five preseason games to make an impression.
