Let's continue our player-by-player look at the 90-man roster the New York Giants will bring to training camp next month. Here, we focus on wide receiver Travis Harvey.
2013 Season In Review
Harvey caught 65 passes for 808 yards and seven touchdowns for Florida A&M in 2012, his only complete season of college football. The Tennessee Titans signed him as an undrafted free agent and released him in training camp.
2014 Season Outlook
Harvey will be competing with guys like Marcus Harris, Corey Washington, Preston Parker and Julian Talley to earn consideration for a roster spot if Mario Manningham is unable to play due to his ongoing knee issues. Here is a brief scouting report on the 6-foot-2, 185-pound Harvey:
"Harvey is a solid athlete with the speed and pass-catching skills necessary for the next level. He's a developmental prospect who should get consideration on the practice squad."
Harvey would seem to have only a remote chance of sticking with the Giants.
