The New York Giants report to training camp on July 21, a month from now. Between now and then, we have been breaking down the 90-man roster the team will bring to camp. Today, let's get to know wide receiver Marcus Harris.
2013 Season In Review
After failing to make the Giants' final roster last year, Harris played for the Iowa Barnstormers of the Arena Football League (AFL). Harris was named "Rookie of the Year" after catching 94 passes for 1,223 yards and 19 touchdowns. He also had 1,200 return yards.
2014 Season Outlook
Harris has looked very good throughout the Giants' OTAs and minicamp. The 25-year-old has shown good speed, run good routes and displayed solid hands. In the team's first OTA, Harris beat Giants' prized free-agent acquisition Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie on a double move for a score. With Victor Cruz, Rueben Randle, Odell Beckham Jr., Jerrel Jernigan, Trindon Holliday and Mario Manningham ahead of him on the depth chart, it made be difficult for Harris to crack the final 53. If no other team picks him up, he could find himself on the Giants' practice squad.
