2014 Round 2 NFL Mock Draft: The New York Giants select ...

New, comments

No, we are not completely done with mock drafts. Here are several Round 2 mock drafts detailing potential choices for the New York Giants.

Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports

With the real 2014 NFL draft underway you thought we were done with mock drafts. Well, you thought wrong. The draft continues Friday night with Rounds 2 and 3, and we have a smattering of Round 2 mock drafts offering opinions on who the New York Giants will take with the 43rd overall selection.

Mocking The Draft (Fairburn) -- Louis Nix III, DT, Notre Dame (Brooks) -- Austin Seferian-Jenkins, TE, Washington

Walter Football -- Morgan Moses, OT, Virginia

ESPN -- Joel Bitonio, OT, Nevada

Draft Tek -- Timmy Jernigan, DT, Florida State

CBS Sports (Rang) -- Ra'Shede Hageman, DT, Minnesota

That's six mock drafts, five of which showing the choice being either an offensive or defensive lineman. The point here is less about the actual players than about the fact that it's obvious that analysts think the Giants will be looking to bolster their lines during Day 2 of the draft. That dovetails nicely with Jesse's breakdown of potential Day 2 targets. Jesse wrote:

" ... the Giants will have a great opportunity to address their offensive or defensive line with a player who was considered a first-round pick at one point or another recently."
