Antrel Rolle learns of Giants free-agent moves from his mom |

"Whatever happens, happens," Rolle told Pro Football Talk Live via telephone on Friday. "If I happen to catch it then that's great, but I don't tune in too much to what's going on. My mom, she tunes in more. I'll get a text message here and there saying who did what and so forth and so on but I use my offseason wisely and try to get away from the game as much as I can."

"My mama, she's the niche when you're talking about NFL football," Rolle said. "I mean this lady can tell you what kind of coverage I'm supposed to be in, where I'm supposed to be, they used to call her the Mel Kiper of Homestead so she's definitely on her game."

Robert Ayers is fan of player he's replacing, Justin Tuck - NY Daily News

Justin Tuck left for the Oakland Raiders in mid-March. But just last week, he was still helping the Giants. On Wednesday, defensive end Robert Ayers signed with the Giants, bringing valuable depth to a thin defensive line. And in an interview on SiriusXM Radio on Saturday, Ayers said that he joined Big Blue in part because he believes he can replace Tuck, a versatile defender who he has long considered one of his heroes.

"Justin Tuck was kind of a guy that I idolized for a lot of my career throughout college and even in the NFL," Ayers said. "I felt like I could play the same way and be that type of guy."

Just when you think the Giants are done in free agency, they keep on going. On Friday, the team worked out former Titans quarterback Rusty Smith, according to a report.
