Give Walter Thurmond this much. One of the new members of the New York Giants' secondary, a free-agent acquisition from the Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks, Thurmond has carried some of that 'Legion of Boom' swag with him during his journey from Seattle to New York.
Thurmond didn't lack for confidence when he spoke to the media Tuesday afternoon.
Walter Thurmond says he's the best slot cornerback in the league and the Giants secondary has the potential to be better than Seahawks.

Because there is such a thing as Twitter, and because players can't leave each other alone, Philadelphia Eagles slot cornerback Brandon Boykin quickly took a shot at Thurmond.
But who is Walter Thurmond??

Our friends over at Bleeding Green Nation are, of course, siding with Boykin.
Let's just say the trash-talking is all just meaningless noise. None of the words matter, anyway. What matters is what happens when the games start.
Thurmond's talent, and probably some of the swagger he obviously has brought with him, will both be welcome additions to the Giants. That's really all Giants' fans should care about.
