2014 BBV Community Mock Draft: Raiders, Falcons, Bucs make selections

The second round of the 2014 Big Blue View Community Mock Draft rolls along today with picks 36-38. Let us know what you think of the selections.

36. Oakland Raiders -- Gabe Jackson, OG, Miss. St.

Pretend GM 'markfg' says:

"With the arrival of Matt Schaub (and the trust placed in him) Oakland desperately needs to improve their OL considering that the running game will be very important for Matt put his best game on the field. I was in doubt between Yankey and Gabe but after seeing the videos and how dominant this "little child" can be I think he is the best choice.

"I considered the possibility Jason Verrett here but the Raiders need someone to pair with DJ Hayden and I believe it will work better as a nickel in the next level." [Jackson Prospect Profile]

37. Atlanta Falcons -- Jeremiah Attaochu, DE/OLB, Georgia Tech

Pretend GM 'otrd13' says:

"The Falcons need line help, on both sides of the ball. TE should be a priority but with only Ebron off the board here and plenty of depth at the position in this draft I'm looking elsewhere to fill holes. Safety is a position of need for the Falcons and Calvin Pryor is off the board. Robinson helps fill a much needed hole on the OL so lets find some help in the second round in the trenches on the opposite side of the ball. At NT, Nix would be an easy selection for me here if they hadn't just solidified the position with Paul Soliai. Van Noy should be considered but I don't think hes enough of a pass rush threat to be valuable to the Falcons. Otherwise, along the line Timmy Jernigan and Stephon Tuitt are both still available with Tuitt providing more flexibility and upside in my opinion (he was a close #2 for me at this pick and I almost went with him).

"But the Falcons could really use the pass rush coming from a OLB/DE hybrid and neither Jernigan or Tuitt (while good value here) fit that build. Jeremiah Attaochu fits the mold precisely. He combines proper value with need and with no Shazier or Dee Ford there is no question in my mind who this pick should be."

38. Tampa Bay Buccaneers -- Jace Amaro, TE, Texas Tech

Our pretend GM is 'njnas.' He says:

"You guys want to hear a joke? The Tampa Bay Buccaneers plan to start Brandon Myers at tight end ... that's the joke, but they're serious. Lovie Smith and the Tampa Brain Trust all saw what we saw last year, why they still signed him is beyond me, but they need a successor/ insurance for him. Tom Crabtree is worthy of a role, but I don't think he has the requisite skill set to be a matchup nightmare like Amaro. With the recent trade of Mike Williams, you could argue that receiver is a bigger need, but Amaro gives you wide receiver production from the tight end position and keeps Brandon Meyers off the field. Lining Amaro up in the slot next to Vincent Jackson gives you two big, athletic mismatches with soft hands, and because of the depth at wide receiver in this years draft Tampa can draft Amaro here at 38 and still get a quality wide receiver in the third to duke it out with Chris Owusu, LaVelle Hawkins and Louis Murphy."
