The 2014 Big Blue View Community Mock Draft is nearly through its first round. With the 30th overall selection, 'zobster,' playing the role of GM for the San Francisco 49ers, has selected Ohio State cornerback Bradley Roby.
'zobster' explains:
This pick makes sense for the 49ers because of the few needs they have, corner back and wide receiver being the biggest. With Carlos Rogers being released and Tarell Brown signing with the Oakland Raiders, they have developed a need for a physical and aggressive corner back. Roby meets that bill being 5-foot-11 and 194 pounds with a 31 and a half-inch arm length. I considered Timmy Jernigan as he has dropped farther than I had expected. The 49ers have a total of 11 picks including two third round picks that they could possibly trade up with in the real draft, although I am aware there is no trading in this mock.
