2014 BBV Community Mock Draft: With fifth pick, Oakland Raiders select ...

The 2014 Big Blue View Community Mock Draft is rolling along, and we have now reached the fifth pick in what has thus far been an unpredictable draft. 'Giants'_Fan4Life' is cast in the role of general manager for the Oakland Raiders here, and has chosen Buffalo outside linebacker Khalil Mack for the Raiders.

'Giants_Fan4Life' explains:

The Raiders go best player available with this pick. Mack can step in right away and give the Raiders a young, feature defender.

Valentine's View

It is really hard to argue with this pick here. 'Invictus' wrote a few weeks ago that Mack can "absolutely have a Von Miller type impact on the right team." I honestly don't know if the Raiders are the right team for anybody -- sorry, Justin Tuck -- but by all accounts Mack should turn out to be an outstanding player. Whether it is from the defensive end spot or the linebacker position defenses must have pass-rushers, and Mack should be able to do that.
