Hakeem Nicks is officially an ex-member of the New York Giants. NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reported that Nicks agreed to a one-year-deal with the Colts. Albert Breer of NFL.com reported the deal to be worth $3.5 million.

Entering free agency Nicks had said he would accept a one-year "prove it" type deal after a pair of poor seasons with the Giants. He has done just that, and will get to prove whether or not he is still a No. 1 wide receiver while catching passes from Andrew Luck in 2014.
On Thursday it appeared Nicks was headed to his hometown Carolina Panthers. That proved not to be the case.
Nicks caught 79 passes 2010 and 76 in 2011, gaining more than 1,000 yards each season. He caught only 53 and 56 the past two seasons.
The Giants have now seen Nicks, Justin Tuck and Linval Joseph -- all key members of their 2011 Super Bowl team -- leave via free agency this week.
