Good news, New York Giants' fans! Your wait for the 2014 NFL season will be shorter than that for 30 other NFL teams. That is because the Giants will face the Buffalo Bills in the Hall of Fame Game on Aug. 3 in Canton, Ohio.
Former Giants' defensive end Michael Strahan will be among the enshrinees into the Hall of Fame Class of 2014. Former Bills' star wide receiver Andre Reed is also among the enshrinees.
The game will be shown on NBC at 8 p.m. ET. That is just 157 days away, Giants' fans! Start crossing off days on your calendar.
This will mark the Giants' first appearance in the Hall of Fame Game since 2002. They also played in the HOF Game in 1962 (the first-ever HOF Game), 1972 and 1985.
Newsday's Tom Rock estimates that the Giants will report to training camp on July 19, two weeks prior to the game. The early start, and the extra game, can't be a bad thing for the Giants as they install a new offense under the direction of first-time offensive coordinator Ben McAdoo.
