NFL Power Rankings, Week 17: Giants continue moving up

New, comments

The rankings don't mean anything, except that the Giants might really be improving.

Three straight victories and the New York Giants can forget about getting a really high selection in the 2015 NFL Draft. They can also forget about finishing with the bottom-feeders when it comes to NFL Power Rankings.

SB Nation has the Giants at No. 21 this week, up from 23rd a week ago.

Pete Prisco of CBS Sports puts the Giants at No. 19 and says the Giants are "likely keeping Tom Coughlin."

Pat Kirwan, also writing for CBS Sports, places the Giants at No. 22 and says "there is no reason to say goodbye to Tom Coughlin at the end of the season."

The Washington Post has the Giants at No. 19, but the Post isn't so sure Coughlin will be coaching the Giants next season.

Pro Football Talk slots the Giants at No. 20.

Do these mean anything to you, Giants fans? The Giants are not going to the playoffs, so they don't matter in reality. Still nice to see them moving away from the cellar.
