New York Giants running back Rashad Jennings will not play Sunday when the Giants travel to the Edward Jones Dome to face the St. Louis Rams. Jennings has not practiced this week after re-injuring his ankle during his only snap last Sunday against the Tennessee Titans.
That means rookie running back Andre Williams will carry the load for the Giants, as he has most of the second half of the season. Williams' 567 yards rushing is fourth among NFL rookies, but he has averaged only 3.2 yards per carry.
The only other Giant on the injury list this week is linebacker Jameel McClain. He practiced fully Friday and is probable.
Jennings leads the Giants with 606 yards rushing. He has, however, been in and out of the lineup since Week 5. He missed four games after suffering a knee injury against the Atlanta Falcons. He injured his ankle in a Week 13 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars and has carried the ball only three times in the past two weeks.
