EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- The New York Giants game against the Washington Redskins changed drastically on the final play of the first half when Robert Griffin III was ruled to have fumbled for a touchback after appearing to have scored on an 8-yard scramble.
Judge for yourself below.
Santana Moss of the Redskins didn't think much of the call. He flipped out, got two unsportsmanlike conduct penalties and got ejected. The two penalties meant the Giants kicked off from the Washington 35-yard line. They toopk advantage by executing and recovering an onside kick.
The Giants converted that onside kick recovery into a 32-yard Josh Brown field goal that tied the score, 10-10, with 13:18 left in the third quarter. Thus, a game that could have been 17-7 and pointing toward the Giants' 10th loss is now tied and up for grabs.
What do you think, Giants fans? Did the Giants catch a break here?
