This week I will talk about the main guys that will be in and around my FanDuel lineups for week 15 of the NFL season.
Ben Roethlisberger (8700) Roethlisberger on the road is not using in play for me, but this week he will be in Atlanta where the Falcons have had zero luck getting to the passer this year. The match up and price relative to the top priced quarterbacks has me leaning towards saving the 1000 that I would spend on Peyton Manning to use at another position.
Derek Anderson (5000) If I want to try and squeeze some of the top priced position players into my lineups this week then Derek Anderson is the guy I will be turning to. At that price all I need is a very reasonable 12 points for Anderson to help my team win some cash. My Co-Host Renee Miller said it best this week on the podcast when she said to not expect Ryan Fitzpatrick of week 13, but you can count on Ryan Fitzpatrick of any other week.
Johnny Manziel (6700) I will have at least one lineup with Johnny, but I like his price relative to salary cap on a lot of the other sites a lot more than I like it here. I can't condone putting all your eggs in the Manziel basket with out seeing more from him.
Le'Veon Bell (9600) Bell is on fire and has an unbelievable match up this week when he faces the Atlanta Falcons. I don't see any reason to move away from the Bell train especially after seeing what Eddie Lacy did to the Falcons last week.
DeMarco Murray (9300) If not for Bell's amazing week 14 we would all still be talking about the game Murray had last Thursday against the Bears. Murray is so consistently great that he is always a solid play in cash games and this game is no different.
Jeremy Hill (7100) Hill has gotten the nod as the feature back with the Bengals and it isn't a surprise to many in the fantasy community. Hill is a very good power runner with nice skills in the passing game as well. Cleveland's D is banged up in the front seven and the Bengals may lean heavily on Hill this week.
Isaiah Crowell (6500) and Latavius Murray (6500) This one is a true toss up for me in lineups this week. I may split the difference and use one in each of my lineups where I use a RB around this price range. I like the match up for both and I like the fact that Murray got a full work load last week and is catching the ball.
Chris Ivory (5200) Ivory gets to face the same Tennessee Titan team that we saw Andre Williams run over and around last week. The Titans are bad up front right now and the Jets don't even have to be that good to ground and pound them if they want. The only thing that could kill a huge day is a few Geno Smith turnovers.
Other names and prices I like are Justin Forsett at 7700 and C.J. Anderson at 8000. Not sure I trust Anderson's ankle as much as most do and that's why I'm staying away mostly. The injury to Jamaal Charles last week means he will probably be way under owned compared to where he would have been if he hadn't been nicked up. I have enough Charles shares in season long semi-finals so I'll just root for him those match ups.
Antonio Brown (9100) Brown is unbelievable and he must be licking his chops after seeing what Jordy Nelson did to this secondary. The Falcons do have one good corner in Desmond Trufant, but he will have his hands full with the almost uncoverable Antonio Brown.
Odell Beckham Jr. (8500) The usage percentage numbers for Beckham Jr. are getting towards ridiculous. He dominates the targets catches and the recent passing TD's of Eli Manning and this week he gets a soft match up against the team from Washington D.C.
Jordan Matthews (7000) Matthews had a rough match up last week and his poor performance will mean that most people will over look him this week. I still believe in his connection with Mark Sanchez and believe Sanchez may lean on his big body a little more this week in a huge divisional game.
Martavis Bryant (6800) Bryant finally broke out again last week with a beautiful catch for a long touch down from Big Ben. Looking at how Jordy ran through the safeties of the Falcons last week I expect the Steelers to take a bunch of deep shots to Bryant.
Donte Moncrief (5700) Reggie Wayne's health is finally being discussed after his dismal performance last week against the Browns. Moncrief has been playing more and more lately and if Wayne does sit or play less plays than he usually does that means Moncrief will have more chances to make big plays against this poor Texans secondary.
Harry Douglas (5800) Julio Jones is banged up bad after his huge Monday Night games against the Packers. If he can't go I would look to Douglas especially with Roddy White being gimpy. Even if Jone sis a go I like Douglas, it's just tough to rely on him for touchdowns with his size and lack of run after the catch ability.
Martellus Bennett (6200) Bennett benefits from the absence of Brandon Marshall. It means more targets and especially Red-Zone targets. After seeing the way Greg Olsen got open at will last week against the Saints the bears should feature Bennett.
Travis Kelce (5400) Kelce finally broke out last week and of course he fumbled (in a controversial decision) to basically lose the game. The last time the Chiefs met the Raiders Kelce ran through the secondary for big chunks of yardage. The Chiefs should continue to lean on Kelce in the passing game and hopefully he'll get back int he end zone this week.
Jordan Cameron (5100) Jordan Cameron finally returned from a concussion last week and this week he gets a new quarterback that may be able to actually get the ball to him. Cameron is more of a GPP play, especially where you will be using Johnny Football, but I like his price for the upside.
Mason Crosby (5000) More than likely, I will be using either of these kickers in my lineups. Crosby faces a tough Buffalo Defense, but that may help him score some points as Green Bay may not be able to finish off as many drives as they usually do.
Justin Tucker (5000) Tucker is a nice start this week against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Tucker is one of the best kicker sin the league and is great from distance so the Ravens can lean on him in a game like this where they will rely on their defense and try to grind the game.
Baltimore Ravens (5300) The Ravens have a ton of injuries, but play with a ton of heart and proved last week against the Dolphins that they can still get to the quarterback. It's tough to go away from Baltimore, but if there are some teams I think are in play they are the Giants at 5200 and the Carolina Panthers at 4800.
