Peter King of Monday Morning Quarterback was a guest on WFAN with Joe and Evan Friday morning. King, as well connected as anyone covering the NFL, said "nobody knows" what the future holds for New York Giants head coach Tom Coughlin.
"I really think it depends on how the year ends, how they're playing at the end of the year. I don't think it's a lock (that Coughlin returns)," King said. "Nobody knows. I don't even think John Mara knows. I think he wants to give this thing a complete opportunity to let it breathe."
King said it's also not a given that offensive coordinator Ben McAdoo would be the next head coach if the Giants replace Coughlin after this season.
"They're very, very high on Ben McAdoo," King said. "It'll be very interesting to see if they would give him a shot or if they would maybe go outside the organization."
Just a little something for you to discuss as you head into your Friday evening.
