New York Giants fans will finally get something they have been wishing for most of the season on Sunday afternoon. Robert Ayers and Damontre Moore will get more snaps at defensive end than Mathias Kiwanuka. That is because Kiwanuka, dealing with a knee injury, did not make the trip to Jacksonville and will not play.

Kiwanuka had previously been listed as questionable. He has been dealing with a knee issue for several weeks now, and has often been limited or skipped practices altogether.

A nine-year veteran, Kiwanuka has just 2.5 sacks this season and has the worst Pro Football Focus grade of any Giant defender, a -18.3.

Ayers leads the Giants in sacks with five and has the best overall PFF grade, a +19.4. Yet, he has played 208 fewer snaps than Kiwanuka this season.

Moore, a second-year defensive end, has been used primarily as a pass rusher and has seen both Tom Coughlin and Jerry Reese say he should be playing more.

Sunday, the Giants won't have any choice but to use Ayers and Moore.
