NFL Power Rankings, Week 13: Giants among bottom-feeders

Rankings shows softening of Giants schedule

Adam Hunger-USA TODAY Sports

The 3-8 New York Giants are ranked No. 27 in this week's NFL Power Rankings from SB Nation. At this point, where the Giants are in any set of power rankings is really insignificant. They are riding a six-game losing streak and will have to go 4-1 the rest of the way to match last season's 7-9 record.

The only significant thing for the Giants about any set of power rankings at this point is where the remaining teams on their schedule are ranked.

SB Nation has the Jacksonville Jaguars at No. 32 and Tennessee Titans at No. 30, obviously below the Giants. The Washington Redskins are No. 25 and the St. Louis Rams are No. 19. Aside from the No. 3 Philadelphia Eagles, against whom the Giants finish the season, there are no top-tier teams remaining on the Giants schedule.

The Washington Post has the Giants at No. 28, with the Redskins, Titans and Jaguars all below the Giants.

So, there might not be hope for great football or a glorious end to this season. There is, however, hope for a few Ws.
