What It Means

At 3-7 and riding a five-game losing streak it is really face-saving -- and job-saving -- time for the Giants. They are playing to salvage a little pride, show that maybe there is some hope for next year, and to prove that they (both coaches and players) should be part of the team next season.

The Giants can, however, have some impact on the playoff race. They have this game against the Cowboys and a season-finale against the Philadelphia Eagles, so they could have some impact on who wins the NFC East.
