Offensive lineman Justin Pugh will not play for the New York Giants on Sunday when they face the Dallas Cowboys. Pugh, the right tackle, has not practiced all week due to a quad injury.

Defensive tackle Cullen Jenkins (calf) and linebacker Jacquian Williams (concussion) will also not play. Defensive end Mathias Kiwanuka, limited in practice Friday due to a knee injury, is probable. The news about Pugh has been expected, but that certainly doesn't make it any more pleasant.

The expectation for the Giants is that veteran lineman Geoff Schwartz, out all season with a dislocated toe, will fill in for Pugh. Schwartz was signed to anchor the line from one of the guard slots, but does have experience at every spot other than center. He will be making his 2014 debut.

There have also been reports, not yet confirmed by the Giants, that veteran Adam Snyder will start at left guard in place of Weston Richburg.

As for Jenkins and Williams, the Giants played without both of them last week, as well.
