Thursday Night Football - Open Thread -

Week 12 of the 2014 NFL season is about to get started with Thursday Night Football. This week of NFL action is being kicked off by a division game from the AFC West, as the Kansas City Chiefs and Oakland Raiders.

With the 7-3 Chiefs visiting the 0-10 Raiders, this could very well shape up to be another Thursday Night Blowout. The Chiefs will be looking to continue their push for a playoff berth, while the Raiders would just like to get a win.

That isn't to say that there aren't some story-lines in this game.

The Raiders will be looking for rookie quarterback Derek Carr to show some signs of improvement. He has flashed promise, but has yet to consistently play like a quarterback they can build their franchise around.

On the other hand, rookie linebacker Khalil Mack and sophomore Sio Moore are playing some solid football. They will be the foundation for the Raiders defense of Tomorrow.

For the Chiefs, they will need to just focus on winning the game. They play the Denver Broncos next week, and need to avoid a trap game. And in an interesting note, the Chiefs would probably like one of their wide receivers to catch a touchdown. They haven't done so in almost a full year.

So, use this as your open thread for the night. Discuss the game, its fantasy implications, or anything else really.

Kickoff: 8:25 p.m.

Watch: NFL Network

Odds: Kansas City - 7.5
