Week 11 of the 2014 NFL season opens with a showdown in the AFC East.
The 5-4 Buffalo Bills are visiting the 5-4 Miami Dolphins. The two teams are playing for sole possession of second place in the AFC East, and this match could wind up determining if either one is playing in January.
Buffalo is a --as I'm writing this -- a 4.5 point underdog.
Like last week, Thursday Night Football will only be airing on the NFL Network, instead of the NFLN and CBS. As usual, Kickoff is scheduled for 8:25 p.m. ET.
I don't have a rooting interest here, so I'm just hoping for a good game. There are a few interesting story-lines to go with the game:
How will the Bills' offensive line stand up to the Dolphins' pass rush? Conversely, how will the Bills' pass rush affect a revamped Dolphins' line that lost their best lineman (LT, Brandon Albert)?
How will Sammy Watkins, one of the two rookie wide receivers taken before Odell Beckham Jr. fare?
And will the warm weather in South Florida affect the Bills?
Although, with a guesstimated kick-off temperature of 82 degrees, I'd much rather be down in Miami watching the game than up here wondering if it's going to snow tonight.
Enjoy the game everyone, and, of course, the open thread!
