The New York Giants hoped that keeping middle linebacker Jon Beason (foot/toe) inactive last week against the Atlanta Falcons would improve his chances of playing this Sunday in a critical NFC East game against the Philadelphia Eagles. That appears to be the case.
Perry Fewell says he's much more confident in Jon Beason playing this week. Got a lot more reps.

Beason was once again listed as a limited participant in the Giants Thursday practice. Also listed as limited were punter Steve Weatherford (ankle) and cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie (ankle/hamstring).
Running back Rashad Jennings (knee) and linebacker Spencer Paysinger (hamstring) did not practice.
Beason missed the entire preseason after breaking his foot during OTAs. He played Week 1 against the Detroit Lions, but has not played since.
Rodgers-Cromartie was in and out of Sunday's game against the Falcons with his leg issues. That could be the case again Sunday night.
