Running back Rashad Jennings (MCL sprain) and linebacker Spencer Paysinger (hamstring) will be the only New York Giants who will not practice today, head coach Tom Coughlin said Wednesday morning.
Jennings, of course, is not expected to play this week. Jennings said Monday that "History has shown that I always heal up quicker than expected." The Giants don't, however, expect him to heal quickly enough to play against the Eagles.
Paysinger injured his hamstring Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons. His primary value to the Giants is as one of the team's better kick coverage players, and that is an area that will be particularly important on Sunday.
The other players on the Giants early injury report are linebacker Jon Beason (foot/toe), cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie (ankle/hamstring) and punter Steve Weatherford (ankle).
Beason has not played since Week 1. Rodgers-Cromartie was in and out of the lineup against the Falcons with his leg issues. Coughlin indicated Monday that rotation may have to continue.
