When the New York Giants were in trouble Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons, trailing, 20-10 in the third quarter, the bubble wrap came off and the Giants asked rookies Odell Beckham Jr. and Andre Williams to help them rally. The young players responded, and the Giants did rally, coming back for a critical 30-20 victory Sunday at MetLife Stadium.
The win pushed the Giants to 3-2 and sets up a huge NFC showdown with the 4-1 Philadelphia Eagles next Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field. The Giants are now above the .500 mark for the first time since the 2012 season.
The Giants entered the second half trailing, 13-10. [First-half summary]
When Antone Smith took a third-down swing pass from Ryan, broke a poor tackling effort from Antrel Rolle and went 74 yards for a score with 5:37 left in the third quarter the Giants were behind, 20-10. And, at that point, officially in trouble.
