The New York Giants will apparently replace Jon Beason on their 53-man roster by signing cornerback Mike Harris off the practice squad of the Detroit Lions.
The Giants are signing CB Mike Harris off the #Lions practice squad. The Lions didn't have the space on their roster to elevate him.

Media reports indicate the official announcement is expected to come on Wednesday.
So, who is Harris? He is a 5-foot-10, 188-pound corner who was drafted in the sixth round (176th overall) by the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2012.
Harris played 31 games in two seasons for the Jaguars with eight starts. He was waived by the Jaguars this preseason and signed to the Detroit practice squad earlier this month.
Harris has extensive experience playing in the slot, and has also spent some time on the outside. The only experienced slot cornerback currently on the Giants' roster is Jayron Hosley. Harris also provides some depth with Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie still struggling with leg injuries.
