As you probably anticipated, the New York Giants were quiet at the NFL trade deadline, allowing Tuesday's 4 p.m. ET deadline to pass without making a move.
The only team that was active was the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who dealt safety Mark Barron to the St. Louis Rams and linebacker Jonathan Casillas to the New England Patriots. Check Bucs Nation for the details and the reaction.
Ex-Giants Justin Tuck and Osi Umenyiora, who had been rumored to be on the trading block, also stayed put with the Oakland Raiders and Atlanta Falcons, respectively.
The Giants do have to make at least one roster move this week. They will be putting middle linebacker Jon Beason on injured reserve. The only linebacker on the practice squad is James Davidson, a rookie from Texas El-Paso. The Giants could add Davidson to the 53-man roster, or they could look to the waiver wire for help.
[UPDATE 6 p.m. ET: Here is how the Giants will apparently fill Beason's roster spot.]
Giants are signing CB Mike Harris from the Lions practice squad, per @ttwentyman.

Any thoughts on what happened at the deadline, with the Giants or otherwise?
