New York Giants head coach Tom Coughlin said earlier this week that he wanted to see how rookie wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. handled back-to-back practices Wednesday and Thursday before committing to the team's first-round pick making his NFL debut Sunday vs. the Atlanta Falcons. Those two practices are now in the books, but Coughlin would still not guarantee Thursday that Beckham will suit up this weekend.
Coughlin said only that Beckham "practiced well" and that "we'll see how we do with any post-practice kind of news."
Though Coughlin, not unexpectedly, won't say Beckham will play it certainly seems like that will be the case.
Injured middle linebacker Jon Beason (foot/toe) also practiced Thursday and could play Sunday for the first time since Week 1. Coughlin said Beason is "always sore" and that he was "not going to speculate" on whether he would play Sunday.
The only other Giants on the injury report, Steve Weatherford (ankle) and Devon Kennard (hamstring) also practiced on a limited basis.
