Week 7 of the NFL season kicks off with a game that looks a mismatch -- something not unusual for blowout-ridden Thursday Night Football this season. The New England Patriots (4-2) host the down-trodden 1-5 New York Jets in this evening's contest.
Game time: 8:25 p.m. ET
Announcers: Jim Nantz, Phil Simms, Tracy Wolfson
Odds: Patriots -9.5 | Jesse's Pick -- Jets
As Jesse wrote in his picks "There's no reason to expect a close game here."
The Patriots struggled offensively the first five weeks of the season, but Tom Brady threw for 361 yards and four touchdowns in a 37-22 victory last week over the Buffalo Bills. So, things seem to be getting back to normal in New England.
They are probably also normal for the Jets -- meaning they are chaotic. The vultures are beginning to circle around coach Rex Ryan, when they aren't circling around general manager John Idzik. There are tons of questions about quarterback Geno Smith, and Michael Vick has been no help.
Enjoy the game tonight, Giants fans!
