Antrel Rolle has been named a recipient of the Thurman Munson Award and will be given the honor during the 34th Annual Thurman Munson Awards Dinner on Tuesday, Feb. 4.

The Giants safety is one of six New York current and former athletes to receive the award. In addition to Rolle, YES Network broadcaster David Cone, New York Yankees outfielder Brett Gardner, New York Mets pitcher Dillon Gee, MLB Network broadcaster Jim Kaat and former New York Knicks Hall of Famer Bernard King will be honored.

In 2012, former Giants defensive lineman Chris Canty received the award.

The Thurman Munson Awards were created in 1995 to raise funds for and make grants to programs in New York City to benefit those with developmental disabilities. These awards are given to those in recognition for not only their athletic success but their philanthropic work as well. The awards dinner benefits AHRC New York City Foundation.
