Eli Manning, Giants will fight memorabilia lawsuit, per reports

New York Giants say lawsuit is 'without merit.' Manning, team will fight it.

Andrew Weber-USA TODAY Sports

Eli Manning and the New York Giants aren't sitting by quietly and ignoring a lawsuit alleging that they falsified game-worn Super Bowl memorabilia. A statement from Manning indicates the Giants will fight back.

"The Giants told me this suit is completely without merit and I have no reason to believe otherwise," Eli said. "The Giants are going to fight it and so will I."

Manning's father, Archie, also chimed in on the lawsuit with a report indicating he sees it as coming from "an opportunistic attention-grabber."

"Eli has always tried to do what is right," Archie said. "It's Super Bowl week, they got a big story out there."

I honestly have no idea what is truth and what is fiction regarding this story. This story is definitely unbecoming, however, and seems unlike something both the Giants and the Manning family would be involved in.

If you haven't seen the New York Post cover breaking this story, here it is.
