Super Bowl Weather Forecast: No snow, warmer temperatures expected

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

It looks like the weather is going to cooperate for Super Bowl XLVIII on Sunday at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J. The frigid cold that has gripped the Northeast recently is going to move out and temperatures could reach a high of a relatively balmy 46 degrees Sunday in New Jersey, according to The Weather Channel.

The low temperature Sunday is expected to be 26 degrees. With kickoff at 6:30 p.m. ET temperatures could be in the high 30s.

There is only a 10 percent chance of rain at this point, with winds not expected to exceed 8 mph.

That is good news for those worried about the weather having an impact on the outcome of the title game between the Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks. It won't be shirt-sleeve weather for the fans in attendance, but the playing conditions should be just fine. The weather should have nothing to do with the game's outcome.
