You see, Antrel Rolle, good things come to those who wait. Rolle, the outspoken New York Giants' safety who was incensed when he was bypassed for a berth on the Pro Bowl roster, will get to play in the Pro Bowl game after all.

Rolle has been named to the Pro Bowl to replace Seattle Seahawks safety Earl Thomas, who will be otherwise occupied in preparing for the Seahawks' Super Bowl XLVIII matchup with the Denver Broncos on Feb. 2 at MetLife Stadium.

"It's never been about going to Hawaii," said Rolle. "I've been to Hawaii before. I've enjoyed the festivities, I've enjoyed the honor of being a Pro Bowl safety, a Pro Bowl player. That was never what it was about. It was always about getting what I very well deserved and what I accomplished throughout the year and going out there and representing my team, the New York Giants."

Rolle, 31, will be the only member of the Giants participating in the game.

"It means everything to go out there and represent your team," Rolle said. "We didn't have the best season. So to go out there and represent my team and to be solidified as a Pro Bowl safety speaks volumes for myself as well as the organization."

This will be Rolle's third Pro Bowl. The game will be played Sunday in Honolulu.
