Perry Fewell Rumors: Redskins reportedly want to interview Fewell for head-coaching job

New York Giants' defensive coordinator Perry Fewell is apparently a candidate for the head-coaching job in Washington.

Perry Fewell as head coach of the Washington Redskins? According to published reports, the Redskins have asked for permission to interview the Giants' defensive coordinator for their vacant head-coaching job.

A couple of offseasons ago Fewell was a hot candidate for head-coaching jobs. After the 2011 season he interviewed with the Carolina Panthers, Denver Broncos, Cleveland Browns and Tennessee Titans. He had no interviews for head-coaching jobs last offseason.

There is much speculation about potential changes to the Giants' coaching staff after their 7-9 season, with most of it centered around the future of offensive coordinator Kevin Gilbride. Fewell is thought to be safe from any coaching purge that may take place with the Giants after a season during which the Giants' problems were mostly related to offensive and special teams failures.

Would you be upset if Fewell moved on, Giants' fans? Especially if he ended up coaching a division rival?
