With less than 10 days (thank God!) to the 2014 NFL Draft let's update the list of draft-eligible prospects the New York Giants have been connected to. As always, there is no way this list can be complete. It is simply the best information we can find from a variety of sources.
Thanks to the National Football Post we know the identities of more draft-eligible players who have recently visited the Giants.
Sammy Seamster, CB, Middle Tennessee State -- CBS Sports ranks the 6-foot-1, 200-pound Seamster as a likely undrafted free agent.
Brock Vereen, S, Minnesota -- The younger brother of New England Patriots running back Shane Vereen has reportedly visited a number of teams, including the Giants. Vereen is listed as a third- to fourth-round pick by CBS. In its scouting report, CBS says: "High football IQ with good smarts on and off the field. High effort player and won?t fall asleep at the wheel. Already carries himself like a professional. Tough and competitive in nature, getting the most out of his ability. Team leader and quick learner, taking well to coaching. Good starting experience (36 career starts) with significant playing time at cornerback, nickelback and free safety."
Ben Edwards, WR, Richmond -- The 5-11, 200-pound Edwards is listed as a likely undrafted free agent. He tore an ACL in December.
