Giants vs. Cowboys Injury Report, Thursday: David Diehl listed as out

New, comments

Offensive lineman David Diehl (thumb surgery) has been officially listed by the New York Giants as out for Sunday's seaosn-opener vs. the Dallas Cowboys.

Here is the full injury report for the Giants:

Did Not Practice
OL David Diehl (thumb) OUT
C David Baas (knee)
TE Adrien Robinson (foot)

Limited
WR Victor Cruz (heel)
FB Henry Hynoski (knee)
DE Damontre Moore (shoulder)
DE Jason Pierre-Paul (back)

Head coach Tom Coughlin said Pierre-Paul "has gotten a few more snaps." The star defensive end expects to decide Friday whether or not he will play Sunday night.

Moore, the rookie defensive end from Texas A&M, has not played since the first preseason game. Coughlin remains uncertain about what, if anything, Moore will be able to do on Sunday.

"It depends. We’re going to see how he finishes the week out in practice. I know he’s getting stronger every day," Coughlin said. "When given the opportunity, he's practiced well."

Hynoski's status is also uncertain, with Coughlin saying only that the fullback is "doing pretty good." A published report indicated that Hynoski, rehabbing from knee surgery, is unlikely to play Sunday.
