The New York Giants are now 0-4 after suffering another embarrassing loss on Sunday, this time 31-7 at the hand sof the 4-0 Kansas City Chiefs. This is the first time since the strike season of 1987 that the Giants have started a season 0-4. They started seasons 0-4 in both 1976 and 1979.

The Giants have now been outscored 69-7 in their last two games and 146-61 on the season.

The Giants trailed, 10-7, at halftime and were actually still in this game until Dexter McCluster returned a punt 89 yards for a touchdown to give Kansas City a 17-7 lead with 4:30 left in the third quarter.

The Giants turned the ball over three more times. Eli Manning had an interception and lost a fumble, and running back Da'Rel Scott lost a fumble. Manning finished 18-of-37 for 217 yards with one touchdown and the one interception. David Wilson carried 13 times for 55 yards.

Chiefs' quarterback Alex Smith went 24-of-41 for 288 yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions.

The Giants host the Philadelphia Eagles next Sunday.
